Official opening of the Gembloux business park

Friday, May 12, 2023, the business park "Un Quartier Enée" in Gembloux was officially opened. The new construction project consists of 39 SME units and 1860m² of office space. The SME part was built by LCV Real Estate, the development company of the Willy Naessens Group.

The new construction project is divided into 2 zones. The SME zone was developed and built by LCV Real Estate, the retail part by real estate partner Mitiska Reim. As of today, 3 of the 39 SME units are still for sale. "The office block was fully leased to Corilus, a software company for the healthcare sector. The other SME units were sold or leased to small and medium-sized companies, so there is no lack of activity in the new business park," says Bram De Paepe (Investment Director LCV Real Estate).

As a real estate developer, LCV Real Estate is aware that their projects can have an impact on the local community as well as the environment. Therefore, socially and sustainably responsible projects are the focus within LCV Real Estate. "For example, the creek, which was filled in years ago, was reopened with the positive effects on the environment around it. The rare and protected plants on the property were mapped. After obtaining a specific permit, the rare and protected plants were moved to a new green zone on the site," explains Paul Eeckhout, project manager within LCV Real Estate. A crapoduct was created and attention was paid to the fauna, ensuring maximum restoration of the natural habitat.

Because the business park was realized in cooperation with the Willy Naessens Group, the SME - offices part of Un Quatier Enée is CO2 neutral. In addition to the CO2 neutral construction of the business park, its operation is also CO2 neutral. The offices are air-conditioned by means of a heat pump and no gas is provided in the business park.

In collaboration with Natagora, who provided their expertise in environmental protection, LCV Real Estate was able to implement all sustainable initiatives, minimizing the impact on the environment.
