LCV Real Estate attaches importance to your privacy. We want to process your personal data in a legal, correct and transparent manner. Want to know how we take care of your personal data at LCV Real Estate? Then be sure to read this privacy statement. We explain what personal data we collect from you as a natural person, process it, why, for how long and how you have control over it.

We always refer in this privacy statement to data about you as a customer, potential customer, former customer or as another data subject, e.g. beneficiary, contact person in a company, business partner, etc. In whatever capacity, LCV Real Estate always treats your personal data as a natural person with equal care. This privacy policy obviously also applies when you visit our offices, entities, websites, exhibition stand, etc.

Please take a moment to review our privacy policy, along with our terms and conditions and any other terms and conditions that may apply to our services and products.

When does this privacy policy apply and who is responsible for it?

This privacy policy applies to the processing, in particular the collection, management and use, of your personal data as a natural person by LCV Real Estate (hereinafter “LCV Real Estate”).

All personal data are managed by L.C.V. NV, Kouter 3, Wortegem-Petegem. 

What data are processed?

By personal data we mean any information about an identified or identifiable natural person. This concerns data that you have provided to us yourself, that we assign to you for the use of our products and/or services, that we obtain through the use of our products and/or services or data that we have received through third parties.

It concerns data to identify you (name, address, customer number, account number...), to contact you ( address, telephone or cell phone number, fax, e-mail, user name, identification data about the devices you use...) and to serve you correctly (which products or services you use, preferences and interests, activity, feedback...).

For what purposes do we process your data?

Personal data is processed for a variety of purposes. However, we ensure that we only collect and process data that is adequate, relevant and limited to what is necessary for the purposes for which it is processed.

We thus use your personal data:

To fulfill our legal obligations;
If we have obtained your consent to do so. You are of course free to do so at any time. If you wish to withdraw your consent, please contact us via the appropriate channels;
For the execution of an agreement and/or to assess whether a contract or service can be concluded.
If we have a legitimate interest to do so (processing for research purposes, dispute management and legal risk, complaint management and after-sales service, exercising and safeguarding our rights, ...). In doing so, we take care that in each case the balance between those legitimate interests and the impact on your privacy is not disturbed.
To engage in direct marketing. If you do not want this at all, we explain below how you can exercise your right to oppose this.

From events organized or sponsored by us, non - targeted atmospheric images ( both photo and film) may be taken. Some of these images will be used in our newsletter, on social media. The pictures will be kept on our servers for 5 years.

How do we secure your data?

Internally, we at LCV Real Estate take the necessary technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data and this both in our offices and/or through our websites. For example, we employ the necessary firewalls that secure external access from outside, a strict password policy is applied. We ensure that our employees and processors have only the necessary data that they need in the performance of their duties and they handle that data in a secure and confidential manner.

However, we cannot be held responsible if, in accordance with applicable legislation, incidents should occur at those processors, despite the measures taken.

Transfer to third parties?

LCV Real Estate agrees not to sell, rent or transfer personal data to third parties to companies or individuals.

For some aspects of our business, we do use an external processor. This means, among other things, that for certain tasks and/or services we are sometimes required to temporarily transfer data to an external processor. However, you can rest assured that if we do so, we will always ensure that your data is handled and managed with the necessary confidentiality, in a secure manner and with due diligence.

Regarding the international transfer of personal data, we follow the level of protection according to the requirements included in European regulations.

Retention period?

Personal data should obviously not be kept longer than necessary in function of the purposes for which they are processed. The retention period may therefore vary in this respect, depending on the purpose. In any case, LCV Real Estate does not retain your personal data for longer than is necessary for the realization of the purposes for which they were collected or as long as the law requires us to do so.

Certain data of former customers can be used for the necessary period after termination of the contract in order to recognize the former customer, e.g. within the framework of our legal liability as contractor and thus also out of e.g. legal, fiscal or accounting necessity. These archived data are of course only accessible to a limited extent.

What are your rights?

If your personal data is processed, you have a number of rights. We will list these for you below.

1.      Right of access/inspection

As a data subject, you can request access to the data that we process about you at any time. If you wish to exercise your right of access, you can do so via the channels shown below. However, in order to exercise your right of access/inspection and prevent any unauthorized disclosure of your personal data, you must provide us with proof of your identity.

2.      Right to improvement

It may happen that certain information that LCV Real Estate has kept about you is no longer up to date/correct. You can always ask us to correct or complete those personal data, but you must first provide us with proof of your identity as further explained here.

3.      Right to data portability

You have the right to request that your personal data that you have provided to us be transferred to yourself or directly to a third party.  We would like to point out that the applicable privacy legislation provides for a number of restrictions, so that this right of portability does not apply to all data.

4.      Right to object

If you do not agree with the way LCV Real Estate processes certain personal data, e.g. in the context of direct marketing, profiling, you can object to this. To do this, please contact us via the usual channels shown below. Your objection will be honored unless there are compelling reasons not to do so, e.g. legal obligation or performance of the contract.

5.      Right to have your data deleted

Not only do you have the right to have incomplete, incorrect, inappropriate or outdated personal data changed, you also have the right to have it deleted.

You can contact the Privacy department for this. Please note that the applicable privacy legislation provides for a number of exceptions.

Use of cookies

We use cookies on the LCV Real Estate websites. Because we consider your privacy important and we want to make your visit to our websites as pleasant as possible, we think it is important that you know how and why we use these cookies.

Cookies are small text files that are stored by your computer or mobile device when you visit one of our websites. These cookies contain information, such as the language preference, so that this information does not have to be entered again each time you visit the websites.

We would like to point out that we do not monitor these websites or the like. The providers of these websites, channels, social media and/or information may have their own privacy policy. We therefore recommend that you inform yourself about their privacy policy. LCV Real Estate accepts no responsibility for this.

Every request for access, correction, deletion ... of data must contain a clear statement of what you specifically wish to view, correct, delete ... . Your request must be signed and dated and include a copy of the front and back of your identity card. If these conditions are met, LCV Real Estate will process your request as quickly as possible and inform you about this.

For the sake of completeness, we inform you that if we do not respond to your question or if our answer does not meet expectations, you always have the right to file a complaint with the competent government authorities.

We can adjust this privacy statement at any time. We therefore recommend that you regularly check our privacy statement. 

Our general terms and conditions and/or the terms and conditions of specific services take precedence over this privacy statement in the event of any conflict.
