Official opening of the business park in Gembloux
Friday, May 12, 2023, marked the official opening of the "Un Quartier Enée" business park in Gembloux. This new development comprises 39 SME units and 1860m² of office space. The SME section was constructed by LCV Real Estate, the development company of the Willy Naessens Group.
SME and Retail Park
The new-build project is divided into 2 zones. The SME zone was developed and built by LCV Real Estate, the retail part by real estate partner Mitiska Reim. Currently, 3 of the 39 SME units are still for sale.
"The office block was fully leased to Corilus, a software company for the healthcare sector. The other SME units were sold or leased to small and medium-sized enterprises, so there is no shortage of activity in the new business park."
Socially and sustainably responsible projects
As a real estate developer, LCV Real Estate is aware that its projects can have an impact on the local community as well as the environment. Therefore, socially and sustainably responsible projects are the focus within LCV Real Estate.
"For example, the stream, which was filled in years ago, was brought back into the open air with positive effects on the surrounding environment as a result. The rare and protected plants on the site were mapped. After obtaining a specific permit, the rare and protected plants were moved to a new green zone on the site. A culvert for amphibians was created and attention was paid to the fauna, which ensured a maximum recovery of the natural habitat."
CO2-neutral certificate
Because the business park was realised in collaboration with the Willy Naessens Groep, the SME – office section of Un Quatier Enée is CO2-neutral. In addition to the CO2-neutral construction of the business park, its operation is also CO2-neutral. The offices are air-conditioned by means of a heat pump and no gas is provided in the business park. In collaboration with Natagora, who made their expertise in environmental protection available, LCV Real Estate was able to implement all sustainable initiatives, thereby limiting the environmental impact to a minimum.
